I undertake commissions for special pieces, including birthdays, weddings, anniversary gifts, commemorative plates, retirement gifts, etc. Since 2011 this has become an increasingly popular service – unusual and unique handmade pieces have proved a great success with the recipients 😉
Here are a few photos of some of my most recent pieces, which include a tile ‘splash-back’ for a bathroom sink and kitchen gas cooker hob, and a teapot made for a local tradesman in thanks for his contribution to the local allotment scheme.
Due to the rising demand for posting ordered items I regret that I must charge for the packaging time and material – please remember that posting a pottery mug is not the same as posting a tee-shirt!
Typically, the packaging costs for a small item such as a mug or a small bowl is about £4.00, and about £8 for a larger item like a large jug or bowl (e.g. wedding present-size). This is for packing only, and does not include the postage-charge which will be charged at cost.
Pottery collected directly from the shop will, of course, not incur a postage/packaging cost.
