Lovely Pottery, handmade in Cromarty, Scotland

NEWS: Cromarty Pottery and Gallery 48 are now sharing the same premises in the Gallery48 cottage next door to the old pottery shop. This helps us manage the shops more easily and improve the displays. We hope you enjoy the change.

I specialise in hand-making beautiful and distinctive ‘terracotta’ domestic ware, and decorating and painting it by hand using ceramic pigments, white slips and slip-trailing. My favourite motifs include cavorting ladies, flowers, birds and animals. Each piece is hand-thrown or hand-built, and hand-decorated, with my wide range including mugs, jugs, bowls, plates, platters and teapots.

All my pieces are hand-crafted in my pottery here in Cromarty on the Black Isle, in the Scottish Highlands, 22 miles from Inverness.
